Person Editor

Person Editor is for creating, viewing, and editing Person objects. All fields associated with a Person are accessible from the Person Editor.
As a viewer, Person Editor launches on a Person and shows all its fields. From the viewer GUI, you can modify the text of any of the Person's fields. When you change a field, you are changing the data directly in the objects. However, this data will not be committed to the database until you click "Save Changes".
On the right-hand side of the viewer GUI is a WikiText Editor for the Person's Biography field (which is a WikiText). For a guide to using that editor, check out WikiText Editor.
When you launch Person Editor as a tool, you'll be shown a list of all available Person objects. The first think says "New Person". If you choose "New Person" you'll be prompted for the basic information needed to create a Person object, and then you'll get the viewer gui where you can fill in the rest. If you choose one of the other Person lines in the list, you'll get the viewer gui for that Person.

Opening Person Editor
On the Clotho dashboard, double click the icon and run the Person Editor application. The first pop up window will give you the opportunity to create a "New Person" or edit the information of another person object.
Using Person Editor
To create or add a new person to your lab group, click "New Person" and okay. Then enter the name of the new person and click okay. Select the lab, you would like the person object to be added to in the drop down menu. Next, you must create a password and in the following window it will ask you to renter it, so make sure you don't forget it. Finally, an Edit person window will appear with your name and lab name, here you can enter more information such as your email address, mailing address, etc. Once you are done entering your information, click save changes. Do not close the window until you have verified that the information has been saved. To check if your information was saved, check the Error Reporter window and at the bottom it should say “successful save of PERSON” as highlighted below.

Person Editor Example
Let's create our first Person object. Choose "New Person" and click okay in our first pop up window. Then in our Input window, let's enter John Smith and click okay. Once this is done we can add our Person object to a Lab, let's add John Smith to the Smiths Lab. Our next prompt is to create a password and reenter it, so make sure you remember it. In our Edit Person window we can enter more information about John Smith if we click below his name. As you can see his Lab Name has been added already, so we can now enter his email address, nickname, mailing address, etc. Once we're done we can click on save changes and on the Error Reporter window we can confirm whether or not it was saved. If it was saved it should say "successful save of PERSON" as highlighted below. If not we can go back to our edit window and click save changes again. Now that our information has been saved we can close John Smith's window.
