Sledrunner

This app allows you to view the Feature, Parts, Vectors, Oligos, or Plasmids created in the SpreadIt apps. Once the desired subject is pulled up it can be edited and saved. Sledrunner is a bare-bones sequence editor. The only functionality over the SequenceLight panel that it provides is the ability to save the object it's currently editing. To save it, click the big "Save Everything" button. For all other functionality, check out the page about SequenceLight.

Opening Sledrunner
On the Clotho dashboard, double click and run the Sledrunner application. A text box should appear if opened correctly. It is possible to open Sledrunner by double clicking SpreadIt Parts. Then click the desired part. Make sure the part is highlighted. Then right click over the Nickname and scroll down to Choose Viewer finally clicking Sledrunner.

Using Sledrunner
After opening the Sledrunner app, an input text box will appear that asks what feature, part, vector, oligo, or plasmid wants to be viewed. One of the sections must already exist and be saved in SpreadIt in order to actually call it up on Sledrunner. Type in the feature, part, vector, oligo, or plasmid desired to be viewed. A new screen containing the components of the sectioin will be displayed. The component can be edited or removed and then the changes can be saved.

Another way to use SledRunner is to find and highlight the desired feature in the part that is being observed. This can be achieved by opening Sledrunner through SpreadIt parts. After the part is displayed press Ctrl and K simultaneously. The feature will then be highlighted. This will be very helpful when looking for a specific sequence in a long code of DNA.
Sledrunner Example
In this example, we will show how to highlight a feature in a given part. First create the part by using SpreadIt Parts. Then create a feature that you would like to find using SpreadIt Features.
Open Sledrunner from SpreadIt parts. Once the Sledrunner app is open you will see the components of your part. In the window press Ctrl K and wait for the feature that you created to be highlighted in your part.
